Iowa Progress Project Policy Issues

The Iowa Progress Project is an issue organization rooted in conservative, free market principles. These are the principles by which we will determine our position on issues affecting Iowans:

Agriculture and Energy – IPP believes the Iowa farmer is the basis for a stable food supply in the world market, and in order to be an agricultural leader we must promote the use of alternative and renewable resources to ensure that Iowa is a key part of providing food, fiber and energy to the world.

Education – IPP believes in setting education curriculum standards to ensure all children receive the same quality of education.

Healthcare – IPP believes that all Iowans should have access to affordable healthcare.

Jobs and the Economy – IPP believes in a business friendly climate to ensure entrepreneurs and businesses of all types continue to call Iowa home and provide good paying jobs for all Iowans.

Taxes and Government Spending – IPP believes in lower taxes which will encourage Iowans to save and invest in their future. Further, state government should set an example by spending within their means.
