Here they go again…
Iowa Democrats, led by Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, are once again attacking Iowa’s labor laws.
Earlier this year, a bill passed the Legislature that re-wrote Iowa’s bipartisan labor laws. HF2645 would have taken power away from Iowa workers and parents and given it to unelected bureaucrats in Des Moines. Thankfully, Governor Culver listened to the uproar from Iowa citizens and vetoed this bad legislation. By speaking up, all Iowans won.
Unfortunately, Legislative Democrats still are not listening to you, the taxpayer. Instead, it appears they are listening to big labor. As leader of the Iowa Senate, Mike Gronstal thinks it’s likely that there will be another effort to revise the state’s labor laws this session. And this time it may be more than collective bargaining. There could be a proposal to require non-union members to pay for service they receive from unions, effectively ending Iowa as a Right to Work state.

All Iowans came together and defeated this bad legislation before, but they are back for more.
Don’t let people like Mike Gronstal attack Iowa’s labor laws and ignore your voice.
